| NEW SHOT ADDED & SHOT OF THE WEEK: "Yow's Power Draw" - When you develop the kind of stroke required to become a professional, you notice that you are capable of reaching the extremities on the spectrum of english, draw, follow, and masse. Many of you have seen my fantastic masse shots in my video, "Masse Insanity". But, one once asked, "what kind of draw stroke do you have?" Well, there's only so much you can do with a draw stroke, to tell the truth. But, here is me drawing almost two full table lengths with one draw stroke. Not bad! |

| NEW SHOT ADDED: "Kiss Force Follow" - I get ideas from shots from a lot of places. I get ideas from other pros, from fans, even from different games entirely. I got the idea for this shot from a diagram of a Holland Artistic Billiards shot. Here, I shoot into the nine ball, it forces into the rail and out, then the follow takes it back into the three to be pocketed in the side. This takes a precise stroke and a lot of follow! |

| NEW SHOT ADDED: "Big Guy Spinner" - Another of Bruce Barthelette's shots is this one here. It's set up like the masse featured on the site where the cue ball is on the rail at the middle diamond and the blocker ball is on the head spot. Here, I curve the cue ball to travel around the blocker, then two rails to come back to the object ball in the corner. Good shot! |

| NEW SHOT ADDED: "Force Follow" - My friend Randy Taylor is getting really good at pool. You've gotta watch Randy, "he plays with a pro!" Here, he shoots a shot that is featured in the professional artistic pool shot program. This is one of those shots that's impressive no matter who shoots it. For that reason, here you'll see Randy shoot the cue ball to pocket a ball in the corner, hit the short rail, then go around the blocker ball to pocket another ball. Then, just because I'm a punk and can do my friend Randy this way, I shoot the same shot going around two blocker balls, doubling the short rail. Good shot Randy! Keep shootin'! |

| NEW SHOT ADDED: I created another interesting shot. It implements a stroke similar to a shot I call 'wicked cheese' featured on this site. The cue ball is frozen directly behind the one ball and they are pointed 1/2 diamond up the short rail from the corner. The 1 is thrown into the corner while the cue ball breaks away, hits about 2 diamonds up from the corner and rebounds before curving back with reverse english to pocket the 2 ball, and still having enough spin to drive down the rail to pocket the three ball. This is what I call "Yow's Reverse 123". It's a very tough shot with very little room for error. I know you will like it! |

| NEW STROKE SHOT ADDED - This stroke shot is a follow shot that has very common application in the game of pool. Here I use force follow to drive the cue ball away from its typical path, to travel the path that I want it to go down. As you can see from the picture, I can easily shoot the 1 in the side. I could also make the nine by a carom off of the one, but that's no fun, too easy. Here I shoot the "Follow Rail-Hug" shot. I hit the one ball on the right side (opposite the nine), it dives to the rail, then with force follow and left it hugs the rail, actually doubling it, to make the nine ball. It is a pretty good shot once you learn it and it's not that hard to learn if you have a decent follow stroke. It is applicable in a game where you will undoubtedly lose position unless you know this little trick. |

| NEW STROKE SHOT ADDED - This shot doesn't look as difficult on camera as it really is. Trust me! "The Close Draw" shot is one where the cue ball is literally 2 millimeters away from the first object ball and a blocker ball is less than two balls width away. I stroke the cue ball straight and hard with low left to deflect the cueball away from the ball, out and around the blocker ball, with tons of draw to make it all the way up table to pocket the nine in the corner. If you think this shot isn't hard, go try it, then you'll see... I just make it look easy! :) |
The Close Draw |
| NEW STROKE SHOT ADDED - The "Circular Follow" is the newest shot I've learned. It is a terribly hard shot that requires a very precise stroke, yet a hard stroke as well - not an easy combination. In it, I shoot the one ball with hard follow, the cue ball forces forward into the rail, deflects around the eight, then follows forward to make the nine in the corner. I learned this shot in only a few hours and soon enough I was adding the bank on the one for the flare. Here, you'll see a video of a bank on the one, then the cue ball exhibits "circular follow" to pocket the nine. This is a VERY hard shot and a MUST SEE video! |
Circular Follow plus a bank |
| NEW STROKE SHOT ADDED: This is the shot I call the Kiss-Kick-Jump-Follow Shot becaused I double kiss an object ball on the rail, it kicks the cue ball to jump it over the bridge toward the center of the table, then follows forward to pocket the ball in the corner. I saw Stefano Pelinga attempt this on television years ago. That day I taught myself how to perform this very shot. In the video, I think the sound is off just a little, sorry. I hope you like it! |

| This trick shot is called Through the Gap. In this shot the cue ball shoots into a three ball combo, deflects out through a two ball gap, then drives forward to pocket a ball in the far corner. It's kind-of a force follow shot. It's a good one. |

| This is Mike Massey's Circular Draw Shot. I love this shot for its difficulty and its wicked circular draw action. This shot gave me so many problems but I think I've got it down now. Thanks, Coach. |
Circular Draw |
| This shot I call the Draw Around the Rack shot. I shoot this shot with what is called resistance draw. When I filmed this, I shot it particularly well. You'll see when you otice how far out the cue ball travels before throwing it in reverse to pocket the object ball. |

This is a stroke shot called Stroke Around the Rack which means you have to really put some stank on the cue ball to get it to do what you want. Here, I stroke the cue ball to make the close ball in the far corner, but watch the cue ball. It shoots out along the bottom of the rack, then darts forward to travel three rails to pick up the second ball. |

Here is a shot called The Long Distance Curve where I'm frozen behind a ball, so I use it to delay the draw/curve. You'll see. This is a fun shot. |

| I love this shot! I call this one Wicked Cheese! You'll drive your opponent crazy when you tell him/her that you're going to make the one:nine carom for the cheese! "How does he do it?!" They'll say. |
